The unsugar-coated truth

The gospel isn’t written to sugar coat and isn’t there to pat sin on the back. Sin is sin no matter how small the act may be to us. In GOD’s view all sin is the same, no act of sin is bigger than another. hatred is murder, lust is adultery, and so on. It is man who puts a “size” on the sin that we commit. Yes, we all sin and fall short of the glory of GOD and through HIS son we are forgiven by repenting, but what some leave out of their focus is what repentance truly means. To rent means to turn away from sin, did you get that? not to ask for forgiveness and then continue living in sin. His word tells us that if we know it is wrong and we chose to do it anyways, we are in sin… Thankfully Christ died on the cross for us to be saved. Not only did he die for our salvation, but for what the word salvation means, SOZO. Sozo is the Greek translation for salvation meaning- bring…safely (1), cured (1), ensure salvation (1), get (1), get well (2), made…well (6), made well (5), preserved (1), recover (1), restore (1), save (36), saved (50), saves (1), saving (1). So receiving salvation means we also receive all that salvation offer us; to be made well, to be restored, preserved, to recover through healing. Once forgiveness and salvation have taken place into our hearts GOD and HIS Spirit begins to work a change in our lives, conduct, way of thinking, heart, and so much more. Allowing GOD to purge you from sin and iniquity is saying you will choose to sin no more, yes we are humans so yes it will happen, but living for him is living a life sacrificed to pleasing GOD. Sin brings death, not only death physical, but also emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. If we have chosen to live a life pleasing to GOD and go sinning deliberately there no longer remains a sacrifice for sin. which means that if we say we follow Him, but we walk in the darkness of sin then we practice lies and not truth. But id we chose to walk in Him and His light and we truly follow Him then the blood of His son, Jesus, washes away all our sins through forgiveness. In the end sin is sin, no matter how big or small we may think it, it will lead to DEATH and destruction! GOD hates sin and does not condone ANY sinful acts. He loves everyone of His children and longs for them to come into His kingdom to serve and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth! If you are a sinner who has never accepted Christ or has fallen away from relationship with Him and you feel HIS Spirit tugging at you right now, then I want you to seek Him in prayer by receiving His son, Jesus as your Lord and Savior. All you need to do is call out to him and whole heartedly ask Him for forgiveness and confess, out loud, that He is your Savior. There is no need in reciting a sinners prayer bc GOD wants to hear YOUR heart cry out to him. However if you are lost for words and need some guidance here is a prayer…

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. AMEN.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

James 4:17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

1 John 2:2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for yours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 3:8-10 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.

1 John 1:6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
